The look
- Top
- White dress with a ragged, uneven hem
- Shoes
- Bare feet or plain flat shoes
- Makeup
- Pale face and dark hollow eyes
- Hair
- Loose and messy
Makeup
- Blend pale face paint over the face and neck.
- Smudge black eyeliner around the eyes for a hollow look.
- Add a very small red stain near the collar or hem, if you like.
Hair: Leave hair loose and tangled, or use a wig, and tuck a few loose strands over your face.
How to put it together
- Put on the white dress and check that the hem lifts above your ankles.
- Snip the hem and sleeves with scissors to make ragged edges.
- Dab the dress with cold tea for a stained, aged look.
- Style loose hair, then add pale face paint and dark eyes.
Two variations
Faded Garden Bride
Pin dried leaves and flowers to the dress for an overgrown look.
Bride in Black
Swap the white dress for a black one and keep the pale face for a darker gothic vibe.
Safety note
Trim the hem so it is above your ankles to avoid tripping. Use skin-safe makeup with a patch test, keep paint away from eyes, and keep any red marks to tiny stylized stains.
