- Messy, with a few straws
Makeup
- Dab round red circles on both cheeks and blend the edges.
- Draw short stitch lines at the corners of the mouth with black or brown paint.
- Add a small triangle nose in orange or brown.
Hair: Rumple your hair and tuck in a few straws for a stuffed look.
How to put it together
- Put on the flannel shirt and blue jeans.
- Tuck bunches of straw into the sleeves and trouser cuffs.
- Poke straw out from the collar and stitch or pin on patches.
- Add face paint and a few straws in your hair.

Happy Scarecrow
Add big rosy cheeks and a wide painted smile for a friendly look.
Spooky Scarecrow
Use dark stitch lines and shadowed eyes for a creepy field guardian.
Safety note
Keep straw away from eyes, nose and mouth, and away from candles or open flames as it burns easily. Use skin-safe face paint with a patch test.
