The look
- Top
- Long black dress with sleeves (a black or long dress works)
- Shoes
- Black boots or any dark shoes
- Headwear
- Tall pointy hat
- Makeup
- Optional dark, dramatic eyes
- Hair
- Loose, wild or in braids under the hat
Makeup
- Line the upper lash line with black eyeliner.
- Add a small wing at the outer corner of each eye for a mysterious look.
Hair: Leave hair loose and a little messy, or make two loose braids that hang from beneath the hat.
How to put it together
- Put on the black or long dress and check the hem is above your ankles.
- Pull on dark boots or shoes.
- Set the pointy hat firmly on your head.
- Style your hair loose, then add optional eyeliner, gloves and a broom.
Two variations
Purple Witch
Wear a long purple or dark green dress and keep the black hat for a colorful twist.
Garden Witch
Pin a few paper leaves and flowers to the hat and dress for a woodland look.
Safety note
Long dresses can be a trip hazard, so hem or gather the skirt above your ankles. Do a patch test before using eyeliner, and keep the hat from blocking your view.
