Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Costume Closet, operated by HalloweenDress ("we", "us"). They are written to be read. If something here is unclear, email [email protected].

1. The service

We provide an online tool that helps you find Halloween costumes you can make from clothing and accessories you already own, and generates an image of you wearing a costume you choose. The tool is provided on a credit basis.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old to open an account or buy credits. By using the service you confirm you are 18 or older.

3. Your photos and your consent

You upload a photograph of yourself (or, where we offer it, a generic model) so we can generate your preview. You confirm you have the right to upload that photograph, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. You are responsible for the photographs you upload.

4. Credits and payment

Credits are sold in packs and are spent one per generated preview. Prices and pack sizes are shown on our homepage and at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never store your full card details.

5. Immediate delivery and right of withdrawal

Digital content is supplied immediately. By starting a generation you lose your statutory right of withdrawal, and we ask you to confirm this before any credit is spent. Please check carefully before you begin: a spent credit is not refundable except under section 6.

6. Refunds

If a generation fails and you receive no image, we refund that credit automatically. Please read our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms, for the detail.

7. Generated images

Images are produced by a third-party artificial intelligence service and are provided for personal, non-commercial use. They are approximations, not photographs, and may not be an accurate likeness of you. Do not use a generated image to misrepresent yourself or anyone else, and do not use the service for any unlawful, misleading or defamatory purpose.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload photographs of minors, of anyone who has not consented, of anyone in a sexual or violent situation, or content that is unlawful or offensive. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

9. Availability and liability

The service depends on third-party providers and is offered on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
